Mighty love from mighty families

“My four year old son has been attending Mighty Oaks for the past six months and he has flourished under Ms. Brittany’s guidance. Her curriculum is a perfect blend of play and discovery and my shy (and sometimes strong-willed) son is engaged with the outside world and new friends in ways I never thought possible. It’s amazing to see him wake up in the morning excited to go to school to learn about the natural world, music, and building community. I’m so happy that we found Mighty Oaks and Brittany.” L.C.

“We’ve had 2 kids at Mighty Oaks, and Brittany has seen our family through toddlerhood to kindergarten. She is particularly adept at meeting kids where they are developmentally and fostering them on their own individual paths. We love Mighty Oaks because the values of the school are closely aligned with our parenting values…creating community, celebrating diversity, kindness, compassion, setting healthy boundaries. The general vibe is fun, lively, and nurturing. We strongly recommend this school.” K.C.

“We couldn’t have hoped for a safer or more enriching preschool experience than we’ve gotten at Mighty Oaks. Our little one’s teacher has become one of her foremost cheerleaders, and has nurtured our daughter like family! I know our kiddo will have great memories of her pre-school for years to come, and so will we!” I.L.

“Mighty Oaks was and is a life saver for our family. Brittany Smith, Mighty Oaks’ Owner and teacher is enthusiastic, kind, and whip smart. My twin boys have thrived under her compassionate and firm guidance. She provides a warm environment with rich and varied educational materials. My guys come home with new skills almost daily. One of my sons has autism and Brittany has been an amazing ally. Between our interventions outside school and communication with Brittany and her creative suggestions my son has blossomed in language and social skills. I cannot recommend Mighty Oaks enough!” A.F.

“I have nothing but positive things to say about Mighty Oaks. Director and teacher, Brittany Smith, is incredibly smart and well rounded. Her approach to teaching is inclusive and enthusiastic. It’s hard to imagine one person being able to meet the needs of each individual child in a classroom, but she manages to do just that. As an educator, myself, I have high standards regarding those with whom I leave my child. I knew almost immediately that Brittany would not only meet my standards, but she has exceeded them. Brittany and Mighty Oaks are among the best there is.” B.Z.

“Love this school – love Brittany! My son attended Mighty Oaks when he turned four, from Fall 2013-Late Summer 2014 and we had a very positive experience from start to finish. Teacher Brittany has a very warm and welcoming home, complete with kitty cats and chickens and provides such a balanced mix of indoor and outdoor class time that instills an appreciation and sense of wonder for nature, as well as focused Kindegarten-readiness learning from a child-led Montessori approach. The thing I appreciated most besides the smaller community, was Teacher Brittany’s very clear and positive communication. When any issues arose we were able to team-up to develop a positive game plan and if there was ever a day that my son was a bit clingy, she was sure to shoot me a text and photo to ease my concern. My son really flourished here, made amazing memories, and was taught all the needed tools to transition smoothly into Kindegarten. Highly recommend!” K.A.

“My daughter is at Mighty Oaks, and our family is very pleased with the experience. Brittany (who owns/runs Mighty Oaks) has a strong education and a teaching/caring philosophy that I agree with. We are sad to be leaving Mighty Oaks, because of a move due to a home remodel, but our daughter’s time there has been well-spent, and we are so grateful to have been part of the Mighty Oaks community. The play/learning space is well-organized and well-planned, taking into consideration the different ages of the children. The play area out back exceeds so much of what I have seen in nursery schools in our area. In fact, Brittany’s strong education, her execution of her philosophy, and her in-home play/learning are really something you need to see for yourself. So lovely.” J.P.

“I couldn’t  be happier with my daughter’s experience at Mighty Oaks. The owner  works overtime to make sure kids and parents alike are well informed and integrated into the preschool community. It’s a very sweet school and my daughter raves about it. She has attended another preschool in town, but prefers this one hands down.” P.N.

“We’d like to thank you for this past year.  We’ve both noticed how much [our son] has grown socially from being in school and learning to play with and respect other children.  It’s been great to see his knowledge grow too, as he brings home little tidbits and shares them randomly with us – like “That’s a stop sign Mommy.  Stop signs are octagons!”.” S.C.
